Whittling Classes
Interested in learning how to whittle?
Whittling is one of the easiest ways to get into woodworking and learn a new way of crafting. It’s as simple as you, a block of wood, and a knife (plus some gloves to be safe), and you can turn out any manner of item be it animal, person, or something more abstract and sculptural.
It’s a wonderfully relaxing and meditative activity that can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be, and it's accessible to anyone of any skill level from beginner to those with some experience working with wood.
Accessible for ages from 15+ with no upper age limit as, long as you can hold a knife and your material you’ll be able to get some work done.

Saratoga: These classes are held at the Saratoga Community Hall inside. The village shops are only a few minutes walk away and there is a Bakery, IGA, and a few cafes so feel free to stop by and pick something up on your way or we are free and easy the way we run the classes so you can always go for a stroll during the course of the class.

As whittling requires very little equipment I am able to bring it to you.
Weather you have a group of friends, a business, or event you wish to run this class at it can be brought right to you.
I offer in person private tuition in a small group or one on one. This would start from $349 one on one for day courses or groups from $199 per person with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10.
Please note we do not offer the class to you service to be taught in your home, we would need to find a suitable venue to hold it.
Please reach out if this is something you are interested in and we can put something together for you.
For businesses wanting to have whittling as a team building activity, a mindfulness session or just something fun to do, I am able to tailor make a course to suit your needs as far as subject, duration, and difficulty. The great thing is I can run this course right in your office or space if you're having a development day. I bring everything with me to run the course and nothing is left behind, you only need to supply some chairs, stools, or benches.
